Jacksonville Local SEO for Small Trade Businesses

You don’t need a corporate marketing budget to compete for local customers. I work directly with owners of small, independent trade businesses to strengthen their visibility and bring in more of the jobs they want. I ran a contracting business myself, so I approach the work like a contractor—not a marketing agency.

Direct by design.

You work directly with me—not an account manager, salesperson, or rotating agency team. I’ve built websites since 1996, run service businesses since 1998, and built my own Jacksonville company to #1 in the Map Pack and organic results. I keep the client list small and work with only one company per trade in an overlapping market.

The visibility gap

Google shows three local businesses. Are you one of them?

The Map Pack is the map and three business listings Google places prominently on local searches such as “HVAC repair near me” or “pest control Jacksonville.” It puts calls, directions, reviews and websites within immediate reach.

If you are not in the top three, you are not in that first shortlist. Your competitors are.

Ranking varies by the searcher’s location, the service they need and the strength of the competing businesses. The work is to expand how often—and how widely—you earn that top-three visibility across your real service area.

Who I Work With

Local service businesses, mostly trades.

Irrigation, lawn, pest, HVAC, plumbing, pressure washing. Owner-operated, where I'm talking to the person who decides.

One trade at a time per market.

I will not take two direct competitors and pretend I can help both win the same searches. If two businesses are in the same trade and their service areas substantially overlap, I will work with only one of them. That is not a marketing gimmick. It is the only honest way to do the work.

What I Do

Local SEO is the core service. Website help when needed.

The BLAB 7

Seven connected parts. One stronger local presence. The BLAB 7 brings your Google Business Profile, website foundation, listings, reviews, local content, measurement and website alignment together—so Google and prospective customers get one clear, consistent picture of your business. The Proof

I built my Jacksonville service business to #1 in the Map Pack and organic search—with $0 in ads.

My own irrigation company. An incognito search, competitors paying to sit above the results, and the site I built ranked underneath them organically. 9,064 profile viewers and 1,155 interactions in the displayed December 2025–May 2026 reporting window. Real screenshots, nothing recreated — and the site is still live for you to look at.

Why Me

Local SEO from someone who has run a service business.

Andrew Brockman on the job in front of an Entech Irrigation truck
On the job, Entech Irrigation

I started building websites in 1996, back when they were written by hand and there were no tools to hide behind. In 1998, I started my own lawn and landscape company in Greenville and built its website myself. I did the same for every service business I ran after that, including Entech Irrigation, which I founded in Jacksonville in 2013 and operated until 2026.

After what I call my medical war forced me out of the physical side of the trade, I returned to the work I had been doing behind the scenes all along: building websites, improving local visibility, and helping make the phone ring.

That is how I became a Jacksonville Local SEO specialist—not by reading about service businesses, but by running them. I’ve been out on the job, behind the website, and on your side of the quote wondering whether the person I hired actually knew what they were doing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there a 90-day initial engagement for Local SEO?

Local SEO is connected work, not a switch that gets flipped once. The first 90 days give us time to establish a baseline, correct the foundation, complete the highest-priority work and evaluate the early response. It is billed monthly, not annually, and continues month to month after the initial term.

What do you actually do?

I help local service businesses improve how they show up on Google. I look at the website, Google Business Profile, local listings and search data together, then work on what matters most first. If the website is part of the problem, I can improve it or replace it when that makes more sense.

What does it cost?

The standard Local SEO Partnership is $300 setup plus $497/month. If a new website is needed, the build is $997 plus $97/month for hosting and support. See the pricing page; your proposal confirms the agreed scope and fee.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

Local SEO begins with a 90-day initial engagement, billed monthly, and then continues month to month. Website hosting is month to month. Your domain stays in your name and your files are yours free whenever you ask.

Will my site rank #1 on Google?

I won't promise that, and be careful with anyone who does. What I can show you is a site I built that did, plus an honest account of what that does and doesn't prove about your business.

Do Google reviews really matter that much?

More than almost anything else — but not the way people think. It's your review count against your competitors that counts, not the number by itself. My irrigation company had 519 against a competitor with 161 who'd been going 26 years longer, and that gap is a big part of why we ranked.

And don't filter who you ask. I asked every customer, good day or bad. I had people tell me they called because of the ridiculous 1-stars — they'd read them and think "you can't please people like that." A perfect 5.0 reads as fake. The bad ones are what make the good ones believable.

Do you resell software or tools at a markup?

No. If something needs a tool — a CRM, a booking system, whatever — you buy it yourself, in your own account, at whatever it actually costs. I'll set it up and show you how to run it, and I'll quote you for that work. What I won't do is put my name on someone else's software and charge you triple for it. If you can buy it for $97, you should pay $97.

What if I already have a website or someone who maintains it?

You can keep your website and your developer. We agree who handles website changes before starting, and the partnership fee reflects the work I take on. If your developer handles implementation, I provide recommendations through you; you approve and arrange their work, and their fees remain separate. I recommend repair or replacement only when needed, including when rebuilding is more practical and cost-effective than repairing the existing site.

Is Entech Irrigation still open?

No. After a long illness I retired from the trade and closed Entech in 2026, thirteen years after founding it. Its Google profile, 519 reviews and 4.9★ rating are still public — go and look.
